Mothers Day nothing added (Taken with instagram)
When I was on the marketer-side at both Sears and AT&T, a constant lament was that all the valuable customer data we had was not being used productively. Actually, Sears made some pretty big steps in developing its CDW (Customer Data Warehouse) to collect and store the first party data that was then available. But I can’t really recall the data being used more broadly.
Well, things have certainly changed. Now, even data spilled on the marketing floor is useful – no longer is it something we just have to live with. Let’s say a consumer starts to use the mortgage calculator on a bank’s website, but exits before looking at the loans page. That activity can now trigger a notification to the email server so that future emails can bring the customer back to relevant mortgage content on the site. Interested in real time? Text messaging gateways can also be notified.
Media planning just got boarder – and more scalable. Instead of only optimizing in channel, we can maximize messaging across channels. And that’s true not just between websites and display – but with click-to-chat and other super personal touch-points consumers use when they are deep in the purchase decision process.
That’s why our newest release, [x+1] Origin 3.5, is so exciting. Data Management Platforms (DMPs) while originally designed to be display-centric data engines, are probably the hottest and most essential marketing technologies available today. [x+1] Origin 3.5 has taken the evolution of the DMP a step further by integrating our patented decision engine, POE™ to centralize decision logic for multiple channels. That means that a marketer’s channels can be set to subscribe to Origin so when that important customer interaction occurs on site, Origin triggers notifications. Communication personalization achieved.
We have two ways for you to see the new [x+1] Origin while still in beta – get in touch for a private demo through our sales team at sales@xplusone.com or request an invitation to the big show at our third annual NexTargeting Summit in NY on April 26th here:www.xplusone.com/nextargeting
And get ready to say goodbye to crying over spilled data.
