Summertime on the Sound

Throwing back to 2019 and a watercolor sketch of sail boats moored on Long Island Sound.  For a few years, we have been lucky enough to spend the July 4th holiday week with my sister-in-law and her family who live out in Suffolk County near the north fork ("NoFo") of Long Island. My brother-in-law has a boat and I've always enjoyed a day on the Sound.  With the shoreline of Connecticut in the distance and the breeze on the sound, it's enough to make me miss the east coast and I am hopeful that we can get back there for Summer 2021.

I've never focused on boats or water as a subject but they always entice me because of the cool blues set off against the white of the boats and greens of the distant shores.
