Downtown Cathedral

The Cathedral of Saint Augustine in Tucson is a landmark in the downtown area. In a recent Instagram post by Visit Tucson, I saw a perfect single-point perspective of the Cathedral with a photography credit. I got in touch with the local photographer and she nicely allowed me to use if as a reference photo for the first sketch. A few days later while scouting some subjects around Tucson, with one of my daughters driving me around, we to see it- a great building and probably beautiful inside too. The sketch is done in a new 7x7 inch sketchbook from St Louis Art Supply which 25% cotton. Nice results!
